My Handbag

(ABOVE & BELOW) I purchased the World Tour Monogram Alma BB at Louis Vuitton in October 2021.  Although the Alma BB is still available, the World Tour, unfortunately, was discontinued sometime between late 2023 and 2024.  However, occasionally I have seen bags from this collection at Fashionphile, preloved.  The World Tour collection allowed the buyer to choose the leather trim (I chose black rather than vachetta) and the color of the bag’s interior (I chose red).  Buyers also chose from a variety of permanent stickers that were placed on the bag by Louis Vuitton.  I did not want any stickers on my bag; I only wanted the black-leather trim.  (BELOW)  However, because I had to choose at least one sticker, I picked the one that was the least conspicuous–the initials, LV (instead of my own initials).  I also chose letter colors of black and burgundy, to make the LV sticker even more understated.  I like that the Alma BB hardware does not tarnish–unlike the monogram Speedy (although the separate Alma BB lock does tarnish, slightly).  I also like the shape and size of the Alma BB, and that the shoulder strap is removable.  All of this combines to create a structured, very ladylike-looking handbag, which I love, because it can be both casual or dressy.  Also, because it is structured, rather than slouchy, it continues to maintain its original look, year after year (as long as it is not overstuffed).

My Makeup

(ABOVE & BELOW) I used the same makeup products on all three days of filming for this post and video.  Each is listed below and rates well on the Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Hazard/Toxicity Scale. I used the Jane Iredale Loose Mineral Foundation and Washable, Refillable Brush throughout this post and video. However, if you prefer a compact foundation, I also use and like the Jane Iredale Mineral Foundation with Compact, Bisque.
