Everyday Elegance & Brunch With A Friend
Refined, Actually Affordable Casual Classics
It is not often that I am inspired to shop with a new clothing or handbag brand that reaches out to me. Much of the time, unfortunately, I feel their items are just too trendy for me–or low in quality. However, recently, when I clicked on the link in a brand’s email to me, I was impressed.
The brand is called Quince, and so many of their items are the kind of everyday basic essentials everyone can use in their wardrobe. From classic short-sleeve, cotton t-shirts like the one I am wearing here, to organic cotton or cashmere cardigans and pullovers, silk or cotton button-up shirts, jeans, workout wear, Italian leather handbags and shoes, 14k gold jewelry, coats and jackets, and even items for the home.
Also appealing is the price tag. Quince clothing and accessories are very affordable. For example, the gorgeous (and comfortable) Italian Leather Pointed-Toe Flats in my outfit are $69.90; the Cotton T-Shirt is $15; and the Organic Cotton Cable-Knit Sweater is $49.90. These are Quince’s regular–not sale–prices.
Based in San Francisco, Quince is able to keep prices low by using a factory-direct model that cuts out supply-chain middlemen and reduces costs. I am so happy to now know about them (and why don’t more brands do this?).
Brunching At Grappino
Also in this post and video, I take you to lunch at Grappino here in Naples, Florida. Grappino is an Italian restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but you do not need to like Italian food to enjoy dining here. Favorite breakfast/brunch items include homemade quiche, avocado toast, poached eggs and bacon, omelets, pancakes, breakfast pastries, French toast, Belgian waffles, breadless cucumber sandwiches, yogart parfaits, lox and bagels, breakfast pizza, and more all day. Beginning at 11:30, you will find a soup of the day, a variety of salads, wraps and sandwiches, and house-made pizzas and pastas. I very much enjoy lunching and brunching here.
For more about my outfit and to see photographs of Grappino, simply scroll down the page. You’ll find my YouTube video at the very bottom of this post.
Thank you for reading my blog post today. Wishing you a happy and peaceful weekend.

Brunch at Grappino
(ABOVE) My friend ordered Grappino’s Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche, with wheat toast, fruit, and a cappucino. (BELOW) I chose (off menu) two poached eggs, sour-dough toast, bacon, and black coffee. Delicious!
(ABOVE) We were lucky that the rain did not begin until after we had finished lunch and were back in our cars.
What I Wore
(ABOVE) Quince Sweater ($49.90) / Quince Tee ($15) / Quince Flats ($69.90) / Quince Pants ($39.90; size up if desire pants fit, rather than leggings fit) / Quince Bag ($89.90). Quince items gifted to me by brand.
Ray-Ban Clubmaster Classic Sunglasses, Tortoise
Adjustable Belt, Carmel
Theory Cotton Bi-Stretch Pants, New Sand (Also Saks Fifth Avenue; these are the pants I am wearing; Quince affordable similar here, but must size up for pants fit, rather than leggings fit.)
(ABOVE) I do like to curl my hair occasionally (with electric rollers, if I want the curls to actually last). However, more often I wear my hair back in a casual bun. This keeps my hair looking neat and put together, and without having to use damaging heat on it.

My Handbag
(ABOVE & BELOW) The versatility of this Handwoven-Leather Bag allows you to wear it with the strap crossbody or on the shoulder. (BELOW) Or, remove the strap, and you have a clutch. Plus, of course, there is the price ($89.90).
Quince Italian Leather Handwoven Convertible Crossbody, Cognac ($89.90; more colors available)
(ABOVE & BELOW) My exact Amazon belt is no longer available, but this Amazon Belt (in the color carmel) looks like it would coordinate nicely with the Quince bag and shoes. (I do own this belt in orange and off-white.)
Adjustable Belt, Carmel
(ABOVE) I also ordered these Quince Italian Leather Flats ($69.90). I think they look so pretty with the Quince Italian Leather Bag ($89.90).
My Perfume
(ABOVE & BELOW) This set of perfumes is lovely! It consists of eight different scents that are fresh, clean, and very feminine. What’s more, they linger–without being heavy or sweet. $20.
Quince Eau de Parfum Discovery Set (Includes 8 spray vials; $20.)
(ABOVE & BELOW) I keep the perfume vials in a vintage, silver-lidded, cut-glass jar (see similars here). They look pretty this way and can be quickly and easily accessed. The vials don’t leak, so I can carry the one I am wearing for the day in my handbag.
Vintage Cut Glass Jars With Silver Lids
(ABOVE) I like each of the eight scents. However, my favorite currently is Cote D’Azur. I have worn it three times. (I will keep you posted on the other seven!) I am not a perfume expert, but I would say Cote D’Azur is a fresh and clean floral with a hint of something creamy-tropical that is very subtle . I absolutely love it! For those interested, each of these eau de parfums comes in a full-size glass bottle, too.
Quince Cote D’Azur Eau De Parfum (1.7-ounce glass bottle; $50.)
My Makeup
(ABOVE & BELOW) All of the beauty products I am wearing in this post and video are listed below and rate well on the Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Hazard/Toxicity Scale. I used the Jane Iredale Loose Mineral Foundation and Washable, Refillable Brush throughout this post and video. However, if you prefer a compact foundation, I also use and like the Jane Iredale Mineral Foundation with Compact, Bisque.
Jane Iredale Lip Pencil, Peach (Also Amazon.)
Jane Iredale Lip Gloss, Spiced Peach (Also Amazon.)
Lip Shine/Conditioner, Colorless (I apply this to lips each morning, after brushing teeth.)
Jane Iredale Loose Mineral Foundation and Washable, Refillable Brush, Bisque (SPF 20; also Amazon; I used this throughout this post and video)
Jane Iredale Mineral Foundation with Compact, Bisque (SPF 20/15; also Amazon; refill only Jane Iredale or Amazon)
Jane Iredale Blush, Mystique (also Amazon)
Jane Iredale Blush, Clearly Pink (also Amazon; I combined this with Mystique)
Unpowder Powder (to set face t-zone and eyeshadow/liner; also Amazon, Nordstrom)
Jane Iredale Eye Pencil, Black/Brown (also Amazon)
Stainless Steel Cosmetic-Pencil Sharpener
Pacifica Mascara, Stelllar Gaze/Black
Set of Four Portable Eyelash Combs, Pink (to comb out mascara)
Makeup Brushes/Sponge Sete (I used these to apply my face, eye, and cheek makeup)
Triple Purified, 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly (applied to cheeks and cheekbones as highlighter; Amazon, Target)
1-Ounce Glass Jars (set of 6, for storing Petroleum Jelly, Shea Butter, etc.; Amazon)
