Colorful Finds For Home and Wardrobe
Many of our favorite clothing brands are beginning to show the new looks for Fall 2025, but I have to say I am not quite ready yet. Here in Southwest Florida it is in the mid-90’s Fahrenheit, and with extremely high humidity. For that reason I am still wearing summer colors and fabrics. What about you? I would love to know what the temperature is where you live and what you are wearing to accommodate it.

Makeup & Hair Protector Nets
(ABOVE & BELOW) If you are like me and style your hair and apply your makeup before getting dressed, then you might want to know about these Makeup & Hair Protector Nets. I put one over my head before pulling on a top or dress to keep my lipstick and face makeup from getting on my clothing. The net also helps to keep my hair in place and prevent my lipstick from smearing all over my face.

Eyewear Chain
(ABOVE & BELOW) I saw an eyewear chain at a high-end brand recently that retailed for more than $100. I liked it so much I decided to search Amazon to see if I could find something similar. This Eyewear Chain looks exactly like the expensive one. I love using it with my gold-frame and black-frame sunglasses when I’m wearing gray, black, white, ivory, moss, or burgundy tops. It’s like jewelry for your glasses.

Adjustable Belt
(ABOVE & BELOW) I have several colors of this Adjustable Belt and find it so useful because the size is adjustable. It looks almost identical to the Hermes Kelly belt, but is much less expensive. FYI: The listing says it is leather, and it does look real in person, but there are no markings indicating it is leather.

Crossbody Bag
(ABOVE & BELOW) I bought this Lauren Ralph Lauren Medium Tanner Crossbody Bag last year. It comes with a detachable top handle and a web crossbody strap. Ralph Lauren has brought it back again this season in a cognac color, called “Lauren Tan, and also in black. (See it below. ) If you want a dark-brown bag like mine, I recommend the De Mellier Pebbled Leather and Suede Saddle Bag. It has pebbled leather on the back pocket, with suede leather on the front, and looks almost identical to my Lauren saddle bag. I wear this brown bag all year. In the summer I like to pair it with crisp white dresses, skirts, jeans, and pants.

I tried and tried, but, I could not pick a favorite outfit! I love ALL of them! Classic and elegant, just like you! Beautiful collections for early fall. You amaze me with how you put together these gorgeous outfits. I felt like I had the best seat in a fashion show! When I was a young girl, my mother sent me to the Jordon Marsh Department store. The store had lessons on how to be a “young lady”. I will never forget how much I loved and enjoyed the experience. I went by myself and took the train to the store in Boston. Luckily, we lived in Boston and it took me less than 15 minutes to get there! This store and

Sarah, oh my gosh, I so enjoyed reading about your experience at Jordon Marsh, learning how to be a “young lady.” I am like you and have loved fashion shows since I was a girl. The music, the clothing…always so fun and exciting to watch. When I was 13 my mother took me to something similar to your “young lady” school, but at Sears in Pittsburgh. I learned about good posture, how to put on makeup, etc. And, like you, I absolutely loved it. I am left wondering why that sort of thing went away, when clearly girls today still seek that kind of information. Now, they must find it on YouTube or TikTok.
