Chivalry, Chanel & Affordable Everyday Classics
Three Fall Outfits
In this post and video I am showing three timeless everyday outfits made up of classic basics that work beautifully in a variety of looks. First is the camel Organic Cotton Cable-Knit Cardigan. It is such an affordable workhorse (I also have it in white).
Next is the Organic Stretch Corduroy Pants. Quince sent these to me (I picked them out), and I love them. They are so comfortable because of the added bit of stretch. The color is called Golden Brown, but they are not quite as yellow-gold as they appear in the Quince photographs. You can see what they look like on me outside in daylight if you scroll down the page. I chose the 28″ length, but they are also available in 26″.
Next, oh my goodness, is the Chiffon Blouse I bought recently. This one is Burgundy, and it is such a favorite of mine that I also have the Black and the Ivory. The classic Bohemian style gives it an effortless look and feel, and the ruffle cuffs and neck make it very feminine. It is perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans–and any of the three colors will look lovely paired with velvet and taffeta skirts and pants during the upcoming fall and winter holidays.
Next is the set of three Heather Vintage Pink Cashmere Sweaters. There are quite a few styles from which to choose in this color, but I bought the v-neck sweater, the short-sleeve sweater, and the cardigan sweater. These pieces are so very pretty!
In the video I go into detail about the three handbags I chose for my outfits–including the Chanel Chevron Chic Bag and the Chanel Medallion Tote.
Chivalry in 2026
Now, onto a completely unrelated subject, which is chivalry. When I was in the car filming my talk about Outfit #3, I happened to witness a couple in their 20s walking through the parking lot in front of me. They appeared to be on a date and I saw something that left me unable to contain myself, and I talk about this in the video. It was brought out again in 2019, and this time it was in a pink-coral color that was very pretty. Unfortunately, Chanel never made the bag after this, so I am glad I bought it when I did. While I do not see one currently available preloved, I have occasionally seen it at Fashionphile.
