Pretty New Pearls; Two OOTDs; Phones at The Dinner Table?

This post and video features an eclectic blend of topics–from pretty new pearl jewelry from Gingiberi and classic finds from Quince and Goelia to dealing with big knuckles, phones at the table, the “Finger Trick,” and more.

First are my outfits. One is more casual and the other dressy and I would say the standout stars are the pants. In Outfit One, it is the Quince Organic Stretch Cotton Corduroy Pants (26″ and 28″ lengths; I’m in 28″, size 4).  What makes these so special is the color. It is a deep, rich reddish burgundy and the corduroy fabric is an organic stretch cotton, so it moves with you. There is also a longer length version of these pants, and you can see them here.

I paired my pants with this adorable Quince White Organic Cotton Peasant Blouse (size XS) and a chocolate plum brown Quince Organic Cotton Cable Cardigan (size XS). This particular color is limited, so keep that in mind if you are interested.

Outfit Two features my favorite clothing item in this post and video, the Goelia Black High-Waist Jeans. They are sprinkled with teeny tiny black rhinestones that sparkle like stars in the night sky when you move. Gorgeous. The photographs on line do not do them justice, but if you watch the video you can see how beautiful they look when you move, both in daylight and also in indoor lighting.

I wore them for brunch with my other two favorite items in this post and video–a Goelia Ruffle Ivory Blouse and a Goelia Textured Pink Crew Neck Cardigan. The blouse comes with a camisole that has adjustable spaghetti straps, but I wore one I already own that hides my bra straps. The cardigan is trimmed with sparkling silver buttons and a scalloped neck, cuffs and hem; and it is cropped and styled like  a lady jacket, which makes if look so polished. This version has a Crew Neck, but it is also available with a V Neck, if that is what you prefer. Either is very pretty.

I am carrying two handbags in this post and I go into detail about them in my video: the Chanel Classic Mini Flap in burgundy and the Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette in black empreinte leather. I also talk about my issue with my knuckles, and I give my opinion about cell phones at the dinner table. I hope you will let me know what your opinion is, too.

Don’t Forget The Finger Trick!

Although it isn’t noticeable in the photographs below, when I am talking about Outfit Two in the video you can see that there is lipstick on my teeth. This is because, after I reapplied my lipstick in my car following lunch, I forgot to do the “Finger Trick”:

Put a clean finger in your mouth, purse your lips, then pull it out. This removes excess product from the inner lips and prevents it from transferring onto the front teeth. I learned to do this decades ago; and if I am not daydreaming about something else I usually remember to do this just to be safe. When at home, I run a cotton swab over my inner lips.  This is much less messy. 💕
