SPRING-SUMMER SEPARATES

Sea-Blue & Ivory

Beige, brown, black, and grey neutrals work well all year long. However, I also love other colors; and, when it comes to pastel colors in particular, there is something so pretty and feminine about an outfit that features a column of white or ivory topped with a soft and subtle blue, green, pink, or peach.

In this outfit, I started with a base of off-white Wide-Leg Jeans and Silk Blouse and added a pastel-blue Tweed Jacket (similar here or here). I purposely wanted the outfit to look dressy. For that reason, I curled my hair, wore Pearl Earrings with a Pave-Diamond Necklace; chose Metallic-Gold Sandals; and carried a patent-leather Blue Bag with a bright gold chain. (Patent leather looks a bit more dressy than plain leather or suede on the same bag.)

However, you could make the same jacket look much more casual if you wanted to. I would simply fasten my hair in a ponytail, and wear a plain White Tee with White Straight-Leg Jeans and only the Pearl Earrings (no necklace). For my handbag, I would carry this cute Woven-Leather Clutch or this Brown Raffia and Leather Tote, and choose these Mesh Sneakers instead of my gold sandals. This combination would look so cute–especially for traveling or when you plan to do a lot of walking, like sightseeing. (ABOVE & BELOW) I purchased this Ferragamo Vara Bow Bag in December 2014. It is made of patent leather in the color Storm. I remember trying on the bag in the mirror at our local Ferragamo Boutique in Waterside Shops. I had just had lunch with my mother and I wanted to buy the bag for my birthday. I also ended up getting the matching ballet flats and shawl. I then smudged and blended the pencil with the Smudge Brush from this Makeup Brush Kit. I set the final look with this colorless Powder (also Amazon).
