I really like how this outfit turned out, with the exception of the jeans, which I love but wish I’d rolled up (or shortened). Although wearing them this way is fine on longer legged girls, something about the bunching at the ankles just doesn’t work on me. I think it makes my legs look shorter rather than longer. I definitely prefer longer!
I found this linen tweed jacket about a year ago, and was so taken with it that I googled the look to find out what it was called–a “hacking jacket.” The style originated in the 1800s with British gentlemen, who wore them in wool tweed for leisurely, informal horseback riding.
I don’t ride horses, but I don’t care. I love the look of the jacket!
