CRICKET SWEATER STYLE

The Timeless V-Neck Sweater

The cricket sweater is no newcomer to fashion. It dates back to the late 1800s, when cricket players (“cricketers”) first began wearing the white or cream v-neck pullover to keep them warm during long matches. By the 1920s, this sweater had become so popular that players and spectators alike wore them. Affinity for this preppy staple has remained strong ever since.

Each year this sweater is brought back by classic brands in a variety of colors and yarns. The most classic style is white or off-white, and made of either cotton or wool. I recommend investing in one of these, because they go with so many other staples in your closet.

However, what is so fun is finding new colors, like the one I’m wearing in this post and video. It is available in pink with green and white trim, and also in white with pink and navy trim.

The Pull-On Pant

Called the Corso, the pant I am wearing is a pull-on style with a 28-inch length. It comes in a variety of colors and prints; and with either a kick-flare or a straight hem. They are so comfortable. Pair them with a tee shirt, a polo shirt, a cotton poplin button-up shirt, even a cute sweatshirt. They are just so fun.
