11 TIMELESS SPRING-SUMMER OUTFITS

New Classics From J.McLaughlin, Goelia, Oscar de la Renta, Stuart Weitzman, Loeffler Randall, and More

You all know how I love cardigan-sweater sets, because each piece can be worn with other items in my wardrobe.

In this post and video I feature several gorgeous cardigan sets in a variety of price points. Included are a Goelia Floral Dress and Cardigan Set and a Goelia Sweater Skirt and Cardigan Set. Both are lovely and quite affordable.

More pricey but beautiful are a matching Oscar de la Renta Floral Cardigan, Shell, and Midi Skirt. This threesome splurge is in a sweet pink and green English Rose print that is available in other pieces, too–including a matching English Rose Tro Bag.

Fun & Timeless Shoe Styles

I also want to highlight several pairs of shoes from this post and video that I particularly like. The most affordable and casual is a “dupe” for the ever-popular Valentino Rockstud Jelly Sandal —Jelly Bow Flip Flops (also here). I wear these with shorts and sundresses–and of course, bathing suits. They are so cute and fun!

For dressier outfits, I love the simplistic beauty of the Stuart Weitzman Emilia Pointed Toe Flats (also here) and Stuart Weitzman Eva 35 Pump. Both shoes come in a variety of colors and can can be worn with both dressy and refined casual looks.

Probably the most gorgeous shoe in this post and video is the Loeffler Randall Paloma 80mm Mesh Pointed-Toe Mule (also here). I bought this mule several months ago and was so tickled when I saw how well it paired with outfits–two of which I show here. The heel is high, but not so high that I can’t stand and walk in them–and I love how feminine they look.

(ABOVE) Same lipstick and lip gloss in both photographs, but in one (after lunch) I over lined my lips and in the other, before lunch (BELOW), I didn’t. Which look do you prefer? (Note: Over lining lips when wearing richly colored, creamy lipsticks or gloss looks fine in photographs–and even alright for a while in real life. However, on my 65-year-old lips it does eventually bleed up into my lip wrinkles. So, over lining at my age is best when accomplished with matte lipsticks or lighter colored, pearlescent creamy lipsticks and glosses.)
