CLASSIC FINE JEWELRY UNBOXING; ALL NEW CLEAN MAKEUP & TOOLS
(Almost) Full Face of Makeup By Jane Iredale
I have been hearing so much about Jane Iredale makeup, and their powder foundations in particular (both pressed powder and loose powder), that I decided to purchase a variety of items to try.
For health reasons, I only wear makeup that is considered clean and hypoallergenic. I started on this “clean” journey in June 2012, when I completely overhauled my diet and the products I used on my skin and hair. For more details, see my post here. Jane Iredale has been in business for more than 30 years and is known for producing clean, sensitivity- and dermatologist-tested products that are non-comedogenic and contain no synthetic fragrances.
Each of the items I used for this post and video rate low toxicity/hazard at Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Data Base (when I built my own report on the product). The only exception is the foundation, which ranks #3 (low-moderate toxicity/hazard). For more details, refer to the EWG Hazard Score Chart.
In the included video (scroll to bottom of page), I go into detail about each product I applied for this particular look, as well as the exact tools I used and how I used them. If you simply want links to the makeup and brushes I used, I provide those at the end of this post. I look forward to trying out all of the products I bought in the coming months, and I will be sure and link to them whenever I wear them in a post or video.
Classic Pearl Jewelry Always In Style
Also in this post and video are six new pearl fine-jewelry pieces that I recently picked out at Gingiberi. They include a necklace, bracelet, ring, and three pairs of earrings—in either 18k-rose gold or 18k-yellow gold–and all are delicate and very feminine. Just lovely. I also show a pair of sterling silver and pearl removable-drop earrings that look like fine jewelry, but with a much more affordable price.
Among my favorites are the 18k Rose-Gold Station Bracelet with 7-7.5mm AAA Pearls (so pretty!) and the 18k Rose-Gold, Diamond, and 10-11mm AAA-Pearl Necklace. This necklace has been on my wish list for about eight months and makes the perfect statement when worn alone; but, it also looks gorgeous when paired with the Gingiberi 18k-Gold and Pearl Station Necklace that I featured in this post from July 2024. By the way, all of the diamond pieces I show in this post feature natural, earth-mined diamonds, not lab-grown. However, if you are interested in lab-grown diamond jewelry, Gingiberi does offer several pieces on their site.
Gingiberi is not sponsoring this post, only a segment of my YouTube video, but so many of you purchased the Gingiberi items I featured here during the last few months that I wanted to be sure and show these new pieces as well. Any of them would make perfect gifts for the upcoming holidays, or for any future birthdays and anniversaries, too. What’s more, to ease any concerns, Gingiberi offers free 30-day returns in the United States and Great Britain.

Pearl-Grading Guide
Scroll down the page and you will notice that I point out the quality rating of the pearls for each of the Gingiberi pearl items I show. To help you better understand the pearl industry rating system (which varies slightly for freshwater verses saltwater Akoya pearls), you might want to refer to the Pearl Rating System charts I created below.
Freshwater-Pearl Grading
AAAA 95% Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 1-2% of Freshwater Pearls
AAA 90-95% Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 3-10% of Freshwater Pearls
AA 80% Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 20% of Freshwater Pearls
A 70% Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 50-60% of Freshwater Pearls
Akoya Saltwater-Pearl Grading
Hanadama 99% Blemish-Free; Represents Less Than 1% of Akoya Pearls
AAA 95% or Better Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 1-3% of Akoya Pearls
AA 70-90% Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 3-10% of Akoya Pearls
A 50% Blemish-Free; Represents Approx. 20% of Akoya Pearls
Thank you, as always, for visiting my blog. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

Gingiberi Jewelry Unboxing
(ABOVE & BELOW) All Gingiberi Jewelry arrives in blue bow-wrapped boxes, perfect for gift giving.
(ABOVE) Also included with your order is a shopping bag for gift giving, and a certificate of authenticity for each piece.
Sterling Silver and Pearl Removable-Drop Earrings
(ABOVE & BELOW) These Faux-Diamond 9-10mm Pearl Removable-Drop Earrings are sterling silver, but they have the look of fine white gold or platinum diamond and pearl earrings, so they pair beautifully with other white-metal jewelry. You can wear just the hoops, and put one of the pearl drops on a white-gold or sterling chain to create an earring-necklace set. They also are available in Gold-Vermeil .

Silk Tie-Neck Blouse, Winter White
Silk Short-Sleeve Shirt, Ivory
Cashmere Zip-Front Hooded Sweater
18k-Gold and Pearl Oval-Hoop Earrings
(ABOVE & BELOW) I enjoy wearing these 18k-Gold and 3-7mm AA Freshwater-Pearl Hoop Earrings because they feel playful. I think the size of the oval hoop is just perfect. It makes a whimsical statement, but not too much. I pair them with feminine dresses and tops, like this ruffle, tie-neck blouse.

Silk Tie-Neck Blouse, Winter White
18K-Gold and Pearl Bracelet, Ring, Necklace, and Earrings
(ABOVE & BELOW) This set of jewelry is a mixture of 18k yellow gold (Earrings and Ring) and rose gold (Necklace and Bracelet), and I think the pieces look so pretty together. As you can see, my outfit is casual (photos below), and all of the jewelry works beautifully with it. However, this set also is lovely with a dressy ensemble, too. The reason why the pieces all work together so well–with either casual or dressy looks –is because of the delicate size of each piece. None screams for attention–nor is any piece dramatically yellow or rose in color–and each is gorgeous in its intricate detail.
18k Yellow-Gold, Diamond Bar-Stud Earrings With 4-5mm Double Pearls
18k Rose-Gold, Diamond, and 10-11mm AAA-Pearl Necklace

Polo Shirt, White
Wool-Blend Cableknit Sweater, Pale Pink
Prada Double-Bag Tote, Cammeo
Ballet Flats, Tenacious Tan Suede/Bossy Beige Leather (JANIS10 for 10% off first purchase; more colors available)
Sunglasses, Rosewater (narrow, medium, wide widths)
18K Rose-Gold, Diamond and Pearl Necklace and Earrings
(ABOVE & BELLOW) I chose these 18k Rose-Gold, Diamond, and 3-7mm AAA-Pearl Earrings specifially to wear with the 18k Rose-Gold, Diamond, and 10-11mm AAA-Pearl Necklace. Either are lovely alone or with other pieces in my jewelry wardrobe, and they complement each other because of their size and matching rose-gold color. The inlaid mother-of-pearl charm on the necklace is so well conceived and executed. I love how it curls out slightly, just like a delicate, four-petal white flower, and then is finished with a single diamond in the center and a gorgeous, dangling pearl beneath.

A heartfelt thank you for the description of your makeup and application. I have been so curious, because you look so lovely. I am wondering if the Jane Iredale line is available in an actual store. I am not very good at selecting appropriate colors without professional advice. I will look into that.
Susan, I am so pleased this post was helpful. If you do not find a brick and mortar store that carries it, Amazon offers free returns, which is nice.
I would like to see you do a step by step you tube/video on how you apply Jane Iredale makeup with clean skin? do you use her products for cleansing and moisturizing? Thank you! Also, what powder do you use that doesn’t have chemicals?
Hi, Vi! Thank you for letting me know this would interest you. No, I do not currently use any Jane Iredale cleansers/moisturizers. I will have to look into those, too. The other mineral foundations (without chemicals) I use are Gabriel, Mineral Fusion, and Bare Minerals Matte Loose Powder Foundation Wishing you happy holidays 🙂
