Sweater Set Love
Two Sweater and Jeans OOTDs
In this post and video I am wearing two sweater and jeans outfits that work well all winter in Florida, and are perfect for those of you in colder climates where spring is just around the corner.
The Organic Cotton-Blend V-Neck Sweater in Outfit #1 is available in several different colors and is a wonderful light layer over t-shirts, camisoles, and tank tops. It is also reasonably priced at $29.90.
In Outfit #2, the Cotton-Linen Bear Sweater is an iconic piece by Ralph Lauren that I have had for several years. It looks adorable with shorts, tennis skirts, and jeans; however, it is quite pricey. Amazon has a more affordable version here; and it comes in several different sweater colors and bear prints.
A New SPF 30 BB Cream
I am also featuring an SPF30 Sunscreen BB Cream (also Amazon) that I recently discovered at the EWG Skin Deep Database. It ranks #1 on their 1-10 Hazard Scale (#1 lowest hazard, #10 highest hazard) and is very natural looking on the skin. In fact, I like it very much. To achieve a natural look, I applied a light amount all over with my fingertips; then I used Small Makeup Brushes to pinpoint problem areas like blemishes.
I bought two different colors: Light (Outfit #1) and Golden Light (Outfit #2). Both worked well on my warm-toned skin. However, Light is closest to my natural skin color when I am not tan.
My (small) disappointment is that I should have applied a dusting of colorless powder all over to take down the luminosity a bit. I only realized this after I had already filmed the two outfits and watched the footage back on my computer screen. In certain lighting it looks beautiful, but in direct sun–and under studio lights–it is more shiny than I prefer. Otherwise, I like it a lot–especially that it rates so well at EWG.
As for whether I prefer this Spf30 BB Cream to mineral powder foundations? I am reserving my decision on that until after I try it out a few more times–with a colorless powder on top. Photographs are below–and I discuss much more in the video.

(ABOVE) In Outfit #1, I am wearing Suntegrity 5-In-1 Tinted SPF 30 Sunscreen BB Cream in the color Light (also Amazon). I am impressed with how natural looking it is on my skin. I also like that it rates #1 on the EWG Hazard Scale (with #1 being the lowest hazard and #10 being the highest hazard). However, I do not like how shiny it can appear in certain lighting. Therefore, in the future I would apply a dusting of Colorless Powder (also Amazon) all over my face to tone down the shine. Here, I was wearing the colorless powder only on my nose, which I had applied about four hours earlier, immediately after completing my makeup. (ABOVE) Louis Vuitton Malletage Bandouliere Speedy 25 (see preloved Speedy 25s here), purchased at our local Louis Vuitton boutique in March 2024. This handbag is constructed of lambskin on the exterior and goatskin on the interior. I wish they would bring it back in more colors, but they have not, unfortunately. (ABOVE) In Outfit #2, I am wearing Suntegrity 5-In-1 Tinted SPF 30 Sunscreen BB Cream in the color Golden Light (also Amazon). I wore the same product in Outfit #1, but in the color Light, which is closer to my natural skin color. The color I am wearing here, Golden Light, gives me a nice tan. This Tinted Sunscreen is very natural looking on the skin (light coverage) . It also rates #1 on the EWG Hazard Scale (with #1 being the lowest hazard and #10 being the highest hazard).
