I see a lot of discussion on the internet about whether a woman over 40  can or even should wear skinny jeans.  I think it has nothing to do with age. The better question to ask is, do I like what I see when I put on a pair and look at myself in a mirror (or see myself in a photograph).  If yes is the answer, great.  If no is the answer (because too much is pushing out over the top), maybe try sizing up, before nixing them altogether.  I really think it’s that simple.

Every modern classic woman has her own barometer for determining what she considers good taste.  Some like to wear their skirts a little shorter, others their blouses a little lower and, still others, their pants a little tighter.  And alll of us consider ourselves classic-loving traditionalists.

Thank goodness for variety. ~Janis Lyn Johnson
