I like wearing navy or black tops; maybe because of the contrast against my hair. But if I had to choose between the two, it would be navy. There is a deep richness about the color that always exhilarates me. That may sound like a strange reaction to a color so dark, but for some reason that’s how it makes me feel. Go figure! And, when I pair navy with a bright color, like these hot-pink ankle pants, it makes me so happy I’m in Heaven.
I know it’s not typical to wear shirts under short-sleeve sweaters, but I love the look of layers. I think it makes an outfit interesting. The gold circle pin is a sentimental favorite of mine; it belonged to my paternal grandmother. ~Janis Lyn Johnson
