When Synchronicity Gives Me Blue and Orange
I wish I could say I was smart enough to have planned it, but the truth is, I didn’t even know what I had done until a waiter said, “You match the tables.”
I was at Fish Restaurant in The Village on Venetian Bay, taking an iPhone video before meeting Gail and *CSG for lunch. Looking at the patio, I could see he wasn’t joking: I matched the placemats, napkins and chairs, even down to the exact shade of orange and blue. Oh, for goodness sake.
Talk about a perfect photo opportunity. (You can see it at the bottom of this page.) Thank you, synchronicity!
I love synchronicity, that amazing unknown something that creates special coincidences. Sometimes the events are fairly small, like in this situation, but they also can be enormous–like when I was saved from a car crash (more on that another time).
I’m grateful for every one of them, because they let me know something powerful is at play, and if I pay attention it can help me–even if it’s just to experience a happy moment.
I feel blessed when I have that.
Hope you have a synchronicity in your life, too–today or sometime soon.
Cheers!
~Janis Lyn Johnson

(ABOVE) Gail had the Chicken Salad Sandwich on a bun, which came with a side of tomato salad and chips.
(ABOVE) This particular salad combination wasn’t on the menu, but the chef kindly made it up for me to accommodate my food restrictions. For additional protein, I supplemented with raw, sprouted pistachios when I got home. (BELOW) The homemade dressing I carry with me.
