Sunday, May 29, 2016 / Vlog Post Notes
Wearing both a top and bottom in the same color is a great way to elongate the body. Since I didn’t want to break up that continuous line of white, I decided to choose pastel accessories and cardigan.
Speaking of accessories, my clutch is new. It’s the Stella Fold-Over Clutch by GigGi New York. This is a first for me, carrying a clutch with a casual outfit during the day. Usually clutches are two small to hold all that I want to take with me; plus, since they have no handle, only one hand is left free. Neither is an issue with this bag, because it comes with a matching leather crossbody strap should I need it, and it’s oversized, so I can carry most everything I want. I also like that it’s pebble leather, which generally is more durable. And, of course, there is the whimsical, large tassel.
What I fell in love with most, though, is the color of azure blue. It’s so pretty–especially when paired with pastel pink.

P.S. Oops! Once again I accidentally walked out the door with two noticeably monogrammed accessories–a necklace and a clutch. I would have left off the necklace if I’d been paying closer to attention while getting dressed. It’s a bit large for the earrings anyway!

(ABOVE) My clutch is by GiGi New York; sandals by Stuart Weitzman. (See similar style sandals here.)
(ABOVE) Monogrammed necklace, exclusively at Nordstrom. (I think I would wear it with smaller earrings next time.)
(ABOVE) Just for fun, I decided to wear two different colors of leather bands with my Michele watch.
(ABOVE) This Talbots tee-shirt is a step above a typical tee, because of the patch pocket and shoulder buttons.
(ABOVE) My earrings are 1.25″ in size. (Other 1.25″ earrings.) On my lips I’m wearing Hemp Organics/Colorganics Lip Tint in the color Berry (BELOW).

Beautiful!!! Love white jeans! They make my skinny legs and flat booty look better!!! I am short waisted and all legs and have always hated my legs since I can remember. I always wanted the nice bigger “cheerleader legs”! But, like you, I’ve slowly learned to appreciate the body that I have and have learned how to dress it to minimize the perceived flaws and maximize the better parts! That IS the real secret, isn’t it? i think so. My sweet husband says, “Baby, there is nothing wrong with your legs. Ninety-nine percent of women would kill to have your legs” but it’s hard to let go of years and years of thinking. Anyway – I love your outfit! I use your outfits as inspiration so much! I want to tell you about a go-to outfit that I love to wear and it’s a casual but put-together look that’s comfy and perfect for me. I wear my flax-colored neutral straight slightly wide legged draw-stringed linen pants (from Gap several years ago) with a very nice white silky fitted (but not tight) camisole with my mint green colored Oxford cotton shirt over it unbuttoned with the sleeves neatly rolled some. That “third piece” really is important don’t you think? I accessorize with a longer than usual bronze chain necklace that has charms for each of my grandboys and a pair of small mixed-metal hoops. I wear bronze colored sandles that match my (sunless) tan and a bronze leather “straw-looking bag and that’s it!!! I vary the color of the Oxford shirt – chambray, white (extra-preppy with it’s light blue and white striped under collar and seam facings) but my fave is mint green! Take care and stay healthy and happy and grateful!! Karen from Alabama PS – you know I love the cardigan!!!
Pink and white, so lovely and cool looking. You look beautiful. Do you ever wear floral pants. I bought my very first pair for the summer and quite like them..
