The weather is starting to feel like a true Florida winter. Yesterday it was in the 60s and, as I write this, it is cloudy and raining. But several days ago, when the whether was still gorgeous, I met two friends I haven’t seen in ages at Brambles English Tea Room and Gift Shop in downtown Naples.
I first started going there in, I think it was the early 2000s. I would take my notebook, sit by myself in a corner, and work on one of my essays as I ate my lunch and then enjoyed a pot of tea and a scone with yummy clotted cream and preserves. Of course, today I no longer have the scone. (I don’t eat sugar or most grains due to health issues. See more here.) But I enjoy Brambles nonetheless. They have beautiful tasty salads and endless pots of tea, both of which I can have, thank goodness!
It’s tucked at the end of a lushly planted courtyard off of Fifth Avenue South in Olde Naples, and is such a lovely place to see, inside and out; I feel quite indulged whenever I’m there. ~Janis Lyn Johnson

Love Brambles. So nice to see Nell and Suzanne. Tell them “hi” from me.
Sandy, hi! I will tell them you said hello. Thanks for watching the video! I hope you are doing well. ~Janis
I love your classic style. But this outfit was a little different than what you usually wear and I think it looks great. Thanks so much for keeping up the blog/videos. I really enjoy reading/watching your videos. Your are an inspiration!
Thank you, Monique. You’re right about this outfit being a little different for me. I’m so glad you like it. I’ve been waiting for the weather to finally turn colder so I can wear the tights, which I’ve had for about a year or more. The skirt I got recently at Marshall’s. (I find such cute things and at great prices there.) I really appreciate you not only following the blog and watching the videos, but also taking the time to leave such a sweet comment. Thank you again!!!
I first visited Naples Florida during Winter 2017 when my fiance (then boyfriend) invited me down for the Holidays. He had told me about how wonderful the city is and how great it is to escape the cold winter for this beach haven. In our first trip down we explored every inch of downtown Naples, my camera feverishly snapping away at all the bougainvillea-draped buildings and indulging in the Naples sport of boozy lunches. This beach town always has something new to offer each time we come and I wanted to put this guide together to help you plan your next trip here from a semi-locals perspective. I compiled this list to help you plan a beautiful and delicious vacation to Naples Florida.
