This 3,540-square-foot house on Martha’s Vineyard was built in 1850 and renovated in 2013. It has five bedrooms and six and one-half baths and overlooks Edgartown Harbor.
Although the interior decor is, understandably, somewhat perfunctory (it’s both a summer rental and for sale), the architecture is lovely.
Classic swoon-worthy details abound, including carriage-house doors on the garage; wood-paneled walls; beamed and paneled ceilings; mullioned windows and French doors; a sunfilled kitchen with black countertops on white cabinetry (it also has a skylight!); cushioned window seats tucked in nooks and dormers; and a pedestal tub centered under a harbor-view window in the master bath.
According to Point B Realty, the rental rate (June-October) is $20,000-$45,000 per week, asking price is $12 million. Further details and many more photographs are available here. ~JLJ
