MY OOTD FOR NOW & THE HOLIDAYS WITH BLACK, WHITE & PINK

First and foremost, I must thank all of you for the kind and supportive comments left on my blog post, Instagram, and video I published a few weeks ago. Your acceptance and understanding of my circumstances makes it much less stressful coming back to social media after being away for two years. I so appreciate it!

A Fun Look For Now and Later During The Holidays–My Black, White, And Pink OOTD

Now, about this outfit…I first fell in love with bright pink and black separates worn together when I saw the combination on my friend *CSG many years ago. Indeed, I liked the look on her so much that I began wearing it myself.

This particular pink from Salvatore Ferragamo is such a gorgeous, rich, deep hue that it also would be beautiful for the holidays or Valentines Day. It’s just so cheery. Of course, if your preference is classic red, I found pretty alternatives for you on line, and everything is listed at the bottom of this post with photographs.

Although I occasionally wear black during the summer, it’s usually minimal, because I bring out the majority of my black shirts, skirts, sweaters, pants, and bags in the fall and winter. Naples, Florida, weather is hot and humid at this time of year, but I still want to acknowledge the new season, and a dark neutral like black is a wonderful way to do that–using lightweight layers that can easily be removed when outside in the warm temperatures.

You all know my penchant for sweater sets at any time of year–because I can wear the cardigan over my shoulders while I’m outside in the heat (or tie it around my waist), and then put it on in the air-conditioned restaurant or store (or if it turns chilly outside). I also am a longtime fan of wraps and stoles and have worn them for dressier looks for decades.

A stole is simply a woman’s long scarf or shawl that is worn loosely over the shoulders. This Salvatore Ferragao pink scarf is 100% wool and it matches the pink mini bag I show in this post (available at Ferragamo and Saks)—as well as a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo Pink Pumps I also bought.

For this outfit–which I wore recently to meet CSG for lunch at Bricktops in Waterside Shops–I chose Salvatore Ferragamo black quilted-leather pumps (available at Ferragamo and Saks and now on sale!). They have a seven-centemeter heel, which is just high enough to look pretty, but low enough to still feel comfortable when walking a long distance.

I MUST MENTION THIS PIMA-COTTON LONG-SLEEVE TEE

I have this classic long-sleeve pima-cotton t-shirt in several different colors and with various necklines–crewneck, like this one, as well as bateau-neck, and v-neck. I’ve purchased all of them at Talbots over the years and I just love them. In fact, they are my most worn t-shirts, because of their timeless style and the luxurious look, feel, and texture of the premium pima cotton that is used to make them. What’s more, every season they come in many different colors. So much fun!

Scenes From The Vlog

(ABOVE) It was a cloudy day with a 50 percent chance of rain, so I carried with me a black canvas bag (BELOW) that held rubber flip-flops, as well as my home-made, allergen-free salad dressing. Scroll below for my updated recipe. I wore my Salvatore Ferragamo minibag with the crossbody strap (the strap is detachable).

Some day, I hope she will at least let me show her outfit, because she has such lovely, classic style and is so inspiring. Hopeful wishing…

(ABOVE) I ordered the Chopped Salad with just avocado, chicken, and lettuce. I brought my own allergen-free salad dressing in a four-ounce leak-proof glass bottle. I buy the pack of 12 bottles, and use them for various liquids.
