Taking the Edge off Masculine Trousers by Pairing Them With a Softer Blouse and Bag
It’s amazing how just one item of clothing can completely shift the look of an outfit. Earlier this week I featured a post in which I wore a white polo shirt to make a refined knife-pleat skirt, structured bag, and patent-leather shoes look more sporty.
Here, I chose a filmy blouse and quilted, nylon bag to soften more structured Ann Taylor jacquard trousers. For one last girly flourish, I added bright coral slingback flats.
This outfit worked well in the summer heat and humidity, but it will also be a great transition look come September, when the calendar says it’s fall but the thermometer doesn’t!

I love this look as it gives options when wearing the print trousers. The blouse does soften the look and it will be great as a transition look. Really look forward to each of your videos.
Love the pop of color on the shoes. Great outdit
