(ABOVE) The day I put together this outfit it was rainy and in the low 70s, and I opted for a comfortable, slouchy blazer and overall monotone-beige look.

MY MEDIUM FENDI PEEKABOO BAG & SLOUCHY BLAZER, SILK BLOUSE, BEIGE JEANS OOTD
Slouchy Blazer & Silk Blouse OOTD
Shops and restaurants are open in Southwest Florida–serving patrons at 50 percent capacity now–but I haven’t “socially” ventured out just yet. I still make a weekly trip to the grocery store, and sometimes also to UPS or the gas station, and take walks, but otherwise I’ve been more comfortable home-bound. At least for now. It comes naturally for me anyway, since I’m a homebody at heart.
I was eager to film this outfit though, because I wanted to show you this pretty Silk Tie-Neck Blouse I received from LilySilk. They contacted me recently to ask if they could send me several items. It isn’t often I accept gifts from brands, but I was impressed with the look and price of the items featured on their site, and once receiving the two blouses I chose, I became a fan.
This Tie-Neck Blouse and the black LilySilk Casual Round-Neck Tee I also ordered are made from the finest silk available and feel luxurious against the skin. Regarding this pink blouse: I like that I have the option to wear the tie looped over casually, as I do in this post, or in a pretty bow, for a more dressy look. It’s available in this light pink, as well as nine other colors.
I also was impressed with how the blouses came packaged. Each was carefully folded, covered in gold-foil embossed tissue, and they were placed together in a slim white and gold box. What I received would make a lovely gift.
Simply scroll down the page to see photographs of the packaging, as well as a photograph showing what this pink blouse looks like on me without the jacket.
LilySilk Exclusive 12%-off Discount Code
I am so thankful to LilySilk for the beautiful blouses and also for giving me a discount code exclusively for you, JLJ Back To Classic readers and viewers. You can receive 12% off of anything on their site (in addition to any other discount promotions). Simply type in the code JLJ12 at checkout.
My Fendi Medium Peekaboo Selleria Bag in Romano Leather
Regarding my handbag…The Fendi Peekaboo caught my attention beginning about two years ago, initially because of its classic, structured, top-handle style and detachable shoulder/crossbody strap. But what makes the bag unique (and why I love it) is the center divider, upon which the handle is mounted, and where both the metal turnlocks are located (one on each side). To close either side of the bag, you simply push the outside of the bag toward the center divider, then secure and turn the lock once its in its metal hole. This center divider nicely organizes the bag into two separate compartments, either of which can be left locked or unlocked. (I like the look of both unlocked.)
By the time I was ready to purchase a bag, I had decided I wanted either a mini Peekaboo in lambskin or a medium Peekaboo in either the smooth or the textured calfskin, but neither our local Fendi nor Fendi.com had any in light beige or blush.
My Fendi sales associate Whitney even shipped in several bags for me to view, but none worked out, so I began looking online at Fashionphile for pre-loved. Then, last September, I found this bag: The Fendi Medium Peekaboo Selleria handbag in Romano (textured-calfskin) leather. The handbag is a mix of a peachy blush-beige on the outside (Rosa Plaster) and a bright peachy-pink on the inside (Coral Pink). The leather is thick and supple and luxuriously smooth while still being textured; and the color is exactly what I wanted.
I also love that the center divider is a shiny metal (in this case a bright silver), rather than painted metal or covered in leather (like some other Peekaboos). My bag is pre-loved (from 2015) and was listed in excellent condition. It also came with the Fendi dustbag and Fendi box (the latter of which was a little rough around the edges but still works). The bag itself is in beautiful condition, which is a testament to its original owner who took very good care of it. Thank you, whomever you are!
If you want to see the items I’m currently carrying in this bag, simply scroll down the page. Particularly handy are my Fendi Medium and Small Glazed-Fabric Flat Pouches, which are made of a brown glazed monogram fabric with chocolate-brown leather accents. I keep lots of usefuseful items in these, and I show most of those below as well.
Also, if you like the style and color of my bag, then you will be happy to learn that Fendi now has a current bag online that looks very similar to mine. View it here. The only marked difference that I can see is the interior of the new bag looks like a cream/ivory, rather than peachy-pink like mine. (For pre-loved Peekaboos, visit Fashionphile.)
Speaking of Fashionphile, I have to tell you the value and savings is amazing if you are patient and wait for a bag you really love and in excellent condition. That’s what I did, and I was able to find this medium Peekaboo bag in beautiful condition for $1,885 (I also didn’t have to pay sales tax in Florida).
My Fendi Mini Peekaboo Bag in Lambskin
I have been so enamored with my medium Peekaboo bag, in fact, that last month I bought a Mini Fendi Peekaboo at Fendi on line. It has shiny rose-gold hardware (including the metal bar on the middle divider), and is in the most delicate shade of pastel-pink lambskin. The lambskin is luxuriously supple and soft and yummy. I love this bag. Scroll down the page to see photographs of my mini and medium Peekaboos side by side. You can see how different they are, even though the colors are similar.
If you are interested in buying a Fendi Peekaboo, I definitely recommend the bag, and if you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them if I can.
Health, peace, and safety to all of you as we continue through this Covid-19 era.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me here.

(ABOVE) Shown here is the fast-acting inhaler (Albuterol) I carry with me, although I’m blessed in that I’ve not needed to use it since changing the way I eat eight years ago. I’ve not had asthma symptoms since going off soy, sugar/sweeteners, dairy, and all grains (except for rice several times a week). I was first diagnosed with asthma at age 28 and through the years the condition progressively worsened–until I changed the way I ate. For safety, I still carry the inhaler with me, but I am grateful to have learned of the connection between gut health and chronic illness. To learn more about my health regime, see my blog post Healing Chronic Health Issues: What I Eat and Why.
ABOVE & BELOW) Ovalet Lockable Purse Hook (available in gold and silver tone). I use this for hanging my bag on a table in a restaurant. Because it locks closed, it also is great for securing a bag to an airport luggage-cart handle or grocery-store cart handle. I love that it easily accommodates wide shoulder and top-handle straps.
(ABOVE & BELOW) When I carry a larger bag, among the items I like to have with me are these lint-removal sheets. They are perfect for catching errant animal fur or specs on dark clothing. My particular brand isn’t available (I’ve had them for years), but I did find these.

(ABOVE & BELOW) My hubby bought me this Small Swiss Army Knife about 18 years ago and I love it. It’s available in 33 colors and has scissors, a nail file, a knife, a toothpick, and tweezers. I always have it with me!

(ABOVE & BELOW) I recently discovered these Oil Blotting Papers, and carry them in my bags so I always have a way to remove excess shine on my face when on the go, but without disturbing my makeup. I love that they don’t have any powder. They are just paper. Also shown above: Michele Serein Diamond Watch.

(ABOVE & BELOW) Pink Faux-Leather Key Pouch. This is under $20 and is available in 24 different patterns, including one very similar to the Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Key Pouch (see it here and below). I use this to keep my keys from scratching the interior of my leather bags (or the leather surfaces of other items in a bag). I also have the Louis Vuitton Key Pouch in the Damier Ebene brown-check pattern and in the Monagram pattern (the latter of which I bought pre-loved at Fashionphile, because I’ve never been able to find a new one available at Louis Vuitton. I also use these key pouches as small wallets in my little bags. (I love zippered key pouches!)

Hi Janis,
So happy to “see” you! Love your channel (as you know)!
I hope that you and your hubby are doing well! We are doing the best we can “one day at a time”. We are dealing with an ill
kitty which is very challenging in it of itself. My heart is so broken, but, I still have hope.
Love your outfit and accessories! The lovely blush color looks beautiful on you! Let’s talk about those smokin’ shoes! OO LaLa! They are gorgeous (like you)! Everything just looks great! Please stay safe and be well! Love and light always, Sarah – Boston? p.s. I now have all natural nails?! Love it!
Hi, Sarah! I’m so happy to see you, too. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment on my YouTube channel, as well as here. Thank you. How terrible that your precious kitty is ill and during such a stressful time. I can understand that your heart is broken. Our pets are our children. God willing, your baby will pull through and be with you and your family for many years to come…. I’m happy that you’re able to enjoy your all-natural nails. That’s wonderful and a great way to make the best of the awful situation. You stay safe and be well, too, my friend in Bostom. Hugs ~ Janis
Hi Janis!
So happy that you have a new blog entry for us to enjoy! Your last one was a true delight in a dark time.
I know just what you mean by even though the thought of venturing out is very tempting it does bring with it some anxiety. Staying home feels safe.. I guess when things keep improving we will feel more comfortable being out for things that are not actual necessities like groceries.
I feel like the worst is over for now.. my husband, two daughters and a son in law to be are all doctors and were (and still are) working on the front lines of the disease up here in NY. Everyone has remained healthy so far and for that I’m truly grateful for that every day.
I spend most of the day entertaining myself with pleasant nonsense like sitting on the computer for more hours than I would like to admit, walking with neighbors daily (6 feet apart,) cleaning, enjoying my family of course, and planning future trips for as soon as it’s safe to travel.
Enough about me..
I love everything you highlighted on this entry! Coolest is the “raincoat” for your Fendi.
Also love all the little pouches.. I’m a pouch type of girl too. Like everything to have it’s place in my pocketbook.
Lovely to see you all decked out and in makeup.. I will get there someday soon.
A mask will makes it a bit more difficult but we will all make do to keep safe.
Be safe! Be well! The sun is on it’s way out!
Oh my gosh, Claudia…they are all doctors working on the front lines in NY? I can’t imagine how scared, lonely, and sad that must be for you…To have so many people you love in such a situation. Not to mention how frightening for them as well…I just wish I could give you a huge hug. My heart goes out to you and your whole family. I’m so glad for you that they have all remained healthy. I have only one niece who is in medicine. She is a nurse in her 20s, working in a hospital in Philadelphia. She, too, has remained well, thank God. You sound like you are managing it all much better than I possibly could in your situation, I will tell you that. I’m hopeful to hear that you feel the worst is over for now. I can completely relate to sitting at the computer for more hours than you would like to admit. I do the same (as well as at my iPad watching goodness what on Amazon, Netflix, etc.)….About the pouches…yes, I’m just like you and am totally fascinated by the things. Small, medium, large…leather…faux leather…luxury…non-luxury…I just love them. The look, feel…the zippers. I think it goes back to my childhood, because I loved things like that then, too….I can’t tell you how much your comment here means to me, Claudia. Your strength, faith, and no-nonsense, healthy, just get-on-with-it attitude is so inspiring. Thank you for taking the time to share your life with me and how you are handling things. If you can deal with it all so well, then I certainly must be able to as well. I just have to put my mind to it. You be safe and be well, too. Hugs and gratitude ~ Janis
Oh my.. thank you so much Janis for the most beautiful, understanding and compassionate message back to me. I am truly touched by your kindness.
Yes.. it’s been hard and very stressful these past 3 months having my most loved be so exposed to Covid, but now that the worst is over I do feel much more relaxed and quite proud too. The PPE did it’s job well for the majority of the medical workers and that is a true comfort today and going forward. I wish your dear niece all the best and pray that she is kept safe.
So onto your video which I didn’t see until today even though I read your wonderful blog yesterday.
LOVE your pink Swiss army mini knife and of course ordered one myself. So useful!! So smart!
LOVE the cases that you chose.. the Fendi.. beyond. I am a fan of the coated cotton cases from Harrods.. I stock up whenever our trips take us to London. They are light and thrifty and very interchangeable. Funny you mentioned the zippers.. something about them feels so nifty. Totally agree.
Glad to hear that somebody else is a bit reticent to admit to all the hours spent perusing nonsense on line.
It does pass the day in the most pleasant way possible.
Thank you again for such a warm and supportive message back.. I truly do treasure that.
As I said before.. we are on the brink of sunshine and warmth in so many ways.. enjoy it all.
Be well.. be happy and keep safe.
Claudia, thank you for your well wishes for my niece. I so appreciate it. Here’s to the sunshine and warmth of the coming days. 🙂 ~ Janis
From one Janice to another ~ Janis, this is the first time I have watched your channel. I am very impressed with your classic style, elegance, and thoughtful explanation of all of the products, clothing, jewelry, etc. that you are wearing and promoting. I definitely “subscribed” and hope to see a lot more of you! Thank you, good to finally find someone that is promoting the “classic” side of fashion rather than the trendy side!
Janice, hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to pop over to my blog from YouTube, and also for subscribing. You made my day! I’m so happy you love classic style, too. It seems there are probably more of us out there than some people may think. 🙂 Stay safe and well. ~ Janis
Hi Janis, thanks for another fun video watching you on those beautiful tones you look amazing.!! Also, thanks to Albuterol i had no idea you have a blog on healthy eating and living… I’m a believer . I will be posting there. Still in Florida but we should be leaving at the end of June weather at the mountains is cold, windy and raining… we are content here. Stay safe everyone.
Hi, Alicia! It’s so nice to hear from you again. Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind comment here. Also, I’m thrilled you are interested in healthy eating. It’s so important for keeping the immune system healthy, particularly now. I hope you find the information I posted helpful. Take care ~ Janis 🙂
Dear Janis,
I watched your video on how you got your health back on track. It was so powerful for me. There are so many parts of your experience that parallel my own. I have suffered with many of the same maladies that you did. I was 17 when my mom died. A lot of my health issues started at that time. Eating disorders, body dismorphia, weight gain, weight loss etc. Never had equilibrium when it came to food. My closet was filled with clothes from a size 6 to a size 20! I finally found peace about 30 years ago when I hit rock bottom. I had that peace for about 20 years until I got breast cancer. I now look at life as a gift and a big, big Blessing. Being a survivor has humbled me. To me, being humbled changed my life for the better. I am not grateful for the disease, but, I am grateful for what it taught me. I am a better person for it. I still have issues but work on them every day. I wish I could share more with you, Janis, but it would take up too much space! I do want to say this, I think you should write a book. I am certain I am not the only one who has suggested this. I hope I am not being intrusive, but, I feel like I know you. I am very comfortable sharing a little of my life with you. Please take care. Enjoy your time with your mom. You and hubby stay well! Much love, your friend from Boston, Sarah?

Hi Janis,
I hope you are doing great! I found this blog and am considering buying a peekaboo medium myself – do you by any chance know if it will fit a MacBook 13” ? I’ve found somewhat conflicting information online and can’t go visit the store!
All the best,
