How I Wear Bermuda Shorts Three Different Ways
Slim-fit Bermudas are a great multi-tasking basic. Worn with a refined top, high-heels and hems rolled down, they go dressy. Slip into boat shoes and an oxford button-down, and they’re androgynous.
For this look, I wanted casual but feminine, so I rolled up the hems twice (similar ones here), added a girly peasant top, and whimsical pewter dangle earrings. For more fun, I tossed in a bright red Talbots crossbody and metallic Tory Burch Miller sandals.
I don’t know why, but I felt really pretty in this outfit. I think it’s because I like the look of gray tops with my ever-silvering hair. It’s great to finally feel totally at ease with this hair color!
If you wear your hair gray, what colors do you think look good with it? I’d love to hear your opinions.

You look fabulous in grey and should wear more of it. Although I like grey, as a washed out blond, I find it a difficult color so I lean towards beige. Thanks to you, however, and your fashion ingenuity, I am able to tweak colors that I am more comfortable in. As the fall approaches, you should certainly incorporate more grey into your outfits.
Thank you, Mazzie! I think I am now rediscovering it. I know what you mean about some colors can wash us out. I have the same issue with gold/dark yellow tops. They just don’t work with my yellowish skin tone. I appreciate you commenting again! 🙂 ~Janis
Just wanted to say how fabulous you look. I love your slightly American preppy/ French classic chic look, I am from the Uk and everyone here dresses like a bag lady! Love your glowing natural skin too. Keep it up lady!
I am so flattered, Michele. Thank you! I’ve never thought of myself as chic, let alone French chic! You are being very kind 🙂 I’m so happy you found me all the way from the U.K. Cheers–and hope you’re having a nice evening. ~Janis
