LUNCH AT SEAL SALT ON THIRD STREET & WHAT I WORE
Sea Salt
I had not been to Sea Salt on Third Street South in Olde Naples for quite some time, so I thought it would be fun to lunch there with *CSG and take all of you along, too. It’s such a pretty spot and their salads are always delicious.
I made a point to arrive early, so I could film the street-side patio and the interior before other diners arrived. It’s also a good idea to arrive before the crowd if you want to sit on the north-east side of the restaurant. This section is popular, because it offers the dual benefit of dining in the comfort of air-conditioning and yet still feeling like you are outside on the patio, because it’s open to the outdoors.
My friend CSG ordered the Chicken Salad and requested that her chicken be poached and unseasoned. I had the Wild Salmon Salad with cucumbers and grapes, and brought my own sugar- and allergen-free organic, homemade salad dressing.
If you want to learn about all the fascinating salts they offer, and the unusual ways they use them at the restaurant, I hope you’ll watch the video. It really is fascinating. I never knew there were so many varieties! (You can view the video from my blog page, at the bottom of this post. Or, you also can view it directly at YouTube here.)
My Linen Cropped Pants Outfit
I like the look of purposely wrinkling my cotton poplin button-up shirt, to make it casual in feeling. This time I did it to match the linen-blend pants, which I’d assumed would be more wrinkled and, therefore, casual in feeling, too. However, since they actually ended up looking more refined than I’d imagined, I now wish I’d ironed the shirt….Note to self: Keep the wrinkled-shirt look for jeans and other very casual bottoms only!
Regardless, I still love the shirt with these pants. Its classic, bright white style always looks so clean and fresh.
Although these pants in this particular color are no longer available, I found an almost exact pant and color match at Talbots. I also found the same pants in other colors, and I show everything down below, as well as similar tops and accessories–all with their corresponding links.
I hope you’re having a happy, peaceful start to your week, wherever you are.
Thank you as always for being here!

I love your blog but I was wondering if you are going to write a book (with pictures). I’m sure it would be a best seller!

Thanks so much Janis for your new post and video. I’ve been wanting to comment on your blog for a while and todays post was the perfect opportunity. I sure enjoyed going to lunch with you and CSG at Sea Salt. What a lovely restaurant. The weather you are having looks quite a bit milder than what we are still experiencing in south central Texas. You always look so polished and elegant.
Hi Janis, love your blog/vlog so much! You have great classic style. I watched your video on why you eat like you do and was wondering if you were ever officially diagnosed with IC? I am in the middle of a flare and have been prescribed antibiotics since a small amount of bacteria showed in culture. I asked my doctor if I had IC and he said that’s a heavy diagnosis to make and he didn’t think that was what I had. Since I have had bladder cancer and am having treatments every six months, it could be inflammation from this, although last treatment was April and doc said inflammation shouldn’t last that long. I bought the GAPS book you recommended and will try this since it seems to work for your IC symptoms. Just wondering if you have any further suggestions as to what to avoid. I’m desperate at this point since living with the pain is unbearable. Thanks for all your inspirational blogs.
Hi, Gracie. Thank you so visiting my blog. I really appreciate it. I’m so sorry you’re in so much discomfort. Regarding IC…My urologist gave me the diagnosis of chronically inflamed bladder, which is more of a general rather than specific diagnosis, from my understanding. (I believe IC is just one type of “chronically inflamed bladder”), so my guess is he didn’t really know. I’m not really sure, actually. Perhaps doctors don’t really know? I never had an infection, so was never on antibiotics. The pain began in 2001 and symptoms didn’t go away until I changed my diet in 2012. During those years, I had blood in my urine and constant bladder discomfort, with symptoms running the gamut from always feeling an ongoing low-grade pain and having a feeling of needing to urinate to occasionally it becoming very painful or horribly painful, as if there was acid inside of my bladder. I have found now that if I consume too much caffeine, cooked tomatoes, raw fruit, wine, or any hot peppers, I will get the painful IC symptoms again. I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with bladder cancer and now this pain, Gracie. I think the GAPs book is a great place for you to start. Also, you might want to stay away from tap water and buy/drink lots of spring water from glass bottles. That’s what I have done. Wishing you healing and great health, Gracie. Hugs and love to you ~ Janis
