I had been eyeing this skirt on line for some time and finally decided to get it, but in a petite length that hits just below the knee rather than mid-calf. Although I do sometimes wear skirts longer, I think this is the most flattering midi length on me; it covers my knees but not the narrowest part of my calf.
Although I can easily wear this skirt for a dressy occasion–it is polyester taffeta–I thought it would be fun to make it more casual. So I paired it with a pastel-blue, oxford-cloth button up and a faux tortoise-accented watch, cuff bracelet, and pumps.
Speaking of pumps, I bought them in January of 2015 and I adore them. However, I definitely can’t do much walking in them, because I still am not that good at balancing in heels this high. How on earth do the “Real Housewives” do it?! ~Janis Lyn Johnson
