I love pretty gardens and dressy hats, and when I have an excuse to combine both—along with a wonderful luncheon and Carolina Herrera fashion show—I am in classic Heaven.

The 12th Annual Hats in The Garden benefit for Naples Botanical Garden  took place last week, and as always it was a fantastic display of landscaping, fashion, and millinery eye candy. (Presenting sponsor Northern Trust Bank, retail sponsor Saks Fifth Avenue, and caterer Lurcat.)

This year, I decided to capture some of it in a video since I did not want to forget it. Everyone looked so lovely! To view it, scroll to the bottom of this page.

Lovely as usual. You looked stunning, as did so many of the ladies in attendance.
Thanks for taking me along. I think my favorite was the “human flower”.

I am a new subscriber to your channel. I do enjoy all aspects of it MINUS the music. A little of that goes a long way. If the tune must play in the background (I wish it didn’t) then could you put in captions so that could mute it and still read what you are saying? Not wanting to be rude, truly. Even my husband complained as he was at my side as I watched a few of the vlog episodes.

Hi, Deborra! Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment here. It’s the first time I’ve been told that someone didn’t want any music in the background. I did have one comment about a year ago about making sure the music was at the same level as my voice (not louder, in other words), but otherwise people have said they really like the music. I am one who likes music in the background of videos I watch. You make a point, though, and I will definitely take it into consideration. As for muting the background music but not the voices…if I could figure out how to do that for you, I would love to. But, at this point I don’t know how. That’s something I will look into, though. Thank you for stopping by! ~ Janis
