My favorite room to decorate is probably the bedroom. Here, I feel I can connect to my home in a more personal way and express my romantic side. For me, that means a room that is always soothing, but also perhaps may speak of another time and place, or be more whimsical or feminine (or both).
This 7,285-square-foot home, which is listed for $3.295 million, has a total of seven glorious bedrooms, all of which I think are quite romantic.
The master bedroom is stunning with its rustic beamed ceiling and kingsize bed topped with a corona of draped red and white checked and toile fabrics above the headboard. Window treatments in all the bedrooms feature a variety of lush and fancy fabrics and styles, and happy color combinations. Be still my heart–every bedroom also has a chandelier, beds piled high with pretty pillows, and two bedcovers with monograms. How I love monograms! (Can you tell I’m a southern girl?)
Located on a .95-acre marsh-front lot, with its own deep-water boat dock, the home has a garage with parking for four to five cars, an office, and reclaimed heart pine floors throughout. For more details and photographs, contact Sea Island Properties.

Beautiful – so vintage – love the beams in the master!
