Instead of pairing my light-gray shorts with typical black or white, I decided to try a pastel. I think you would call it blush. The feeling is almost monotone, but not quite.
These shorts are more slim-fitting than some of my others and don’t have belt loops. I think that gives the outfit a dressier feel, as do the gold Salvatore Ferragamo Vara Bow bag and bar necklace. So I’m wearing only a few other accessories–and a big, chunky tortoise-look watch–to keep from coming off dressier than I want. Oh, and before I forget, I like that these shorts have faux-besom pockets on the back, so there isn’t added bulk.
Lastly, I chose a looser fitting shirt to soften the overall look and to balance out my not-so-balanced proportions. (I am super skinny on top and larger on the bottom–a chianti bottle!) I photographed this outfit in the courtyard behind the Old Naples Pub off 13th Avenue South in Olde Naples, Florida. Hope you all (or y’all, as I used to say in Texas) had a nice Labor Day weekend. ~Janis Lyn Johnson

Do you use any oil or dream for your legs theyre so bright ?
Thank you! Yes, I use organic extra virgin coconut oil, which I buy in the oil section at the grocery store. I bake with it, too! ~Janis
