How I Wear Palazzo Pants Two Different Ways
I sized up from a small to a medium in these Lilly Pulitzer palazzos to get a more traditional, looser fit. The problem with doing that is, loose-fitting, wide-leg pants can make my legs look shorter for my body than I want. So, to help balance out my proportions, I wore these palazzos with high heels.
I also like wearing this style of palazzo in my normal size, so they’re more form fitting. That’s typically how Lilly Pulitzer has their models wear them, and the look is fun, sassy, and sexy. Sometimes I like a more understated, slouchy look like here, and at other times I want full-blown sassy. It just depends on my mood, and I like having the options. Wearing them slimmer also gives me the leeway to wear flats, and I love that, too.
If you have palazzos, how do you typically style yours? Let me know in the comment section here, on Facebook, on Instagram, or on Youtube. I’d love to know!

P.S. I now realize I need a slightly taller heel with these pants, because the hems are touching the ground. I never noticed it before!
(ABOVE) I chose one size larger than I would usually wear in Lilly Pulitzer palazzo pants (medium instead of small), so that they would drape loosely over my rear and thighs, rather than hug them tightly. I like the other look as well; but for these I wanted them to fit more traditionally.
(ABOVE) I need to hem these pants or wear higher-heel sandals. They’re just a bit too long here.
(ABOVE & BELOW) On my lips: Hemp Organics Lipstick in Rose Petal with Hemp Organics Lip Tint in Rose on top, for shimmer.

So Summer !! Stunning.
Love this look! You look beautiful in pink and the wicker bag is a perfect accessory.
Thank you, Missy. I don’t know what it is about wicker bags, but I love the look! Maybe it’s because they remind me of another time and era — when things were slower, gentler…They make me smile 🙂 Thank you for your comment! ~Janis
I love the pink colors. They are very becoming. I look forward to your videos.
Hi, Sharon! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet compliment! I love the colors, too. Pink. Pink. And More Pink! Hope you’re having a wonderful day wherever you are. ~Janis
I wanna make the same blog post website like you,but I dont know which site? Please tell me the link you use for this blog website? Thank you.
Hi, Marie. I have a word press site that I customized. What I suggest is that you start with WordPress (the professional version), and then search the web for a theme (website design template) that you like and can purchase and then apply to and customize on your WordPress site.
Think about all the things you’d like to be able to do with your site, and then look for a theme/template that offers all or most of those things.
If your blog is going to be lifestyle, look for lifestyle blog themes. If it’s going to be makeup, look for beauty blog themes, etc.
Here is the link that will explain the basics of WordPress.org, and help you get started at the beginning. It’s where I started. About WordPress: https://wordpress.org/about/
Also, here is a good article on the basics of starting out/how to build a blog: http://www.buildyourownblog.net/design-your-blog/
It may all look overwhelming, but even someone with no website design knowledge (like me) can figure it out enough to get something up and running. You just have to be willing to spend a lot of time and effort learning how to do it. Every time I had a question, which was constantly, I Googled it!
Good luck with it, Marie! ? ~Janis
